Our "Shoji Paper" is the highest quality paper of laminated "Washi" paper manufactured in Japan by the leading manufacturer of Shoji paper and is specified in books on the subject.


Shoji paper can be used in Shoji screens inside and outside Japanese homes and tea houses, used extensively for covering lighting fixtures, and can also be used to fabricate lantern windows for granite lanterns in the garden (as preferred in Japan) instead of using opaque acrylic sheet.

Our “Shoji Paper” is the highest quality paper of laminated “Washi” rice paper with PVC resin on either side manufactured in Japan by the leading manufacturer Warlon of Shoji paper, and is specified in books on the subject.

The large bamboo pattern runs lengthways and is intended for “Vertical use” in large pieces/ or full sheets for the best effect of the Bamboo pattern.

Shoji paper can be used in Shoji screens inside and outside Japanese homes and tea houses, is washable and very durable, supplied in large 930x1850x 0.2mm thick sheets (approx 6ft x 3ft)

Rigid Acrylic Warlon Sheet - Shoji

The appearance of Shoji paper but is a print film bonded to acrylic sheet on either side. Manufactured in Japan by the leading manufacturer of Shoji paper.

Totally resistant to water and weather and can be used in place of glass, for use in doors, windows light boxes, light fittings , shop displays, Restaurants, hotels, tea house windows, exterior garden shoji panels Granite lantern light windows.

This acrylic sheet is also mouldable at 120-135 deg C and can be used to make a variety of useful products such as Skylights, Light boxes, illuminated displays. Similar to work with as other acrylic sheet generally available, can be cut by circular saw, band saw, fret saw, hacksaw , can be drilled and filed.

Supplied in full sheets 910 x 1820 x 2mmthick sheets approx 6ft x 3ft (can be cut and sold by sq ft  £13.50  phone for details).

Can be used on all Shoji papers up to the heavy duty 0.45 laminated “Washi “papers. Easy and safe to use allows positioning and tensioning of paper, water soluble, dries clear.
Supplied in 200ml plastic bottles with precision applicator nozzle and instruction sheet
